About Us
Jim Beckett studied engineering at the University of Tennessee. A teaching professional for over 40 years, Jim is a past PGA Chapter officer and is a past competitor on the Florida Winter Tour. Jim developed the "Positive System of Golf Instruction" and authored the books "Ball Projection" and "Natural Asset Golf". He's also a member of the National Golf Foundation, the Academy of Golf Instructors and the PGA of America.
James R. Beckett's genuine love for the game of golf developed in his mid-20's. Through the years his love for golf has found a variety of expressions - from player, to club professional, to golf course research and design, to technical club development and personal club fitting. But his purest love has always been teaching others to enjoy playing the game.
During his many years as an instructor, he found that many books and teaching methods focused on the better player, the one with a lot of natural athletic talent and playing experience. But his logical method of teaching organized into the "Natural Asset Golf" system can benefit all categories of golfers... from beginner to aspiring tour player.
Jim Beckett developed Natural Asset Golf as an ongoing research program specifically to assist all golf enthusiasts. His desire is for golfers to enjoy the wonderful game of golf throughout their whole lifetime.
